Farmers’ Market in Caledonia. Markets will run every Saturday, 9:00 -11:00am until September 18, with a one-of, Thanksgiving market on October 9th.  We can be found again this year at the Queens County Fair Grounds in Caledonia, outside in the sunshine or in the pavilion.

July 1 - all day- Canada Day in downtown Bear River. Happy Birthday Canada. Celebrate with facepainting, cake, artist demos, kids games, food, music and lots more!

The Canada Games 2011 Torch Relay will come to Queens twice in July.  The first relay will happen during the Privateer Days parade on July 3rd and the 2nd relay will occur during the Parks Day events at Kejimkujik National Park on July 17th.  If you know of anyone between the ages of 12-21 who would like to carry the torch, they can fill out an application here http://thechronicleherald.ca/promos/torchrelay.html 

July 1st in Caledonia! “Celebrate Canada!” Program  Sponsored by: North Queens Board of Trade, Region of Queens Municipality, Heritage Canada and our local business and organizations.  Organized by North Queens Board of Trade. New for this year!     Poster and essay contest. Poster Topic: Draw a picture that represents/means being Canadian to you. Age group: 4 - 7 years. Essay Topic: What does being Canadian mean to you? Age groups: 8 - 18  19 and older  Attach your name and phone number to the back of the essay/poster.  Drop off your entry at the Caledonia Visitor Information Centre by June 20th, 5:00 pm. One Prize for each age group of $25.00 awarded on July 1st.  Winning entries will be displayed on July 1st at Hunt Park.  Others may be viewed at the VIC. Activities for the day:
